Lessons Learned Module 3
In Module 3, we expanded on data communication by learning more on how seperate local area networks connect. We examined Chapter 8 - Backbone Network, Chapter 9 - Wide Area Network, Chapter 10 - the internet and we utilized Safari online through the UH Library to extend our knowlege of wireless communication.
The learning artifact I chose for this module was the assignment Broadband Technologies. This artifact consists of a set of questions I answered after watching a video tutorial that focused on various types of broadband Technologies available to connect homes and business to the internet by Eli the Computer Guy. In this assignment I learned about the pros and cons of the technologies in order to make sound decisions regarding Internet Service. Specific topics from this tutorial included basic broadband concepts, T1, carrier grade ethernet, point to point wireless, DSL/Cable and satellite technologies.
